Yup, even if you refused to install the actual app (if there ever was one!), the installer still tried to infect your PC anyway! That sadly took hours but the cleaner found, and then fortunately cleaned, LOTS of crap. Then I immediately did a FULL system virus check plus a "Deep cleaner scan". Needless to say, I immediately clicked the red X a second time and did NOT install any of that crap. As I discovered when I was just trying to exit that stupid crap scammy installer. Instead you had to click the red X in top right corner, typically normally for exiting the installer, to go to the next screen. Once when installing an app, the installer had a screen where even if you unchecked the "I'm a blind moron so yeah do install this obvious Crapware on my PC" checkbox, some small text indicated that if you clicked NEXT, you agreed to install the crapware anyway!įacepalm.
